About The Course

Based on Government Institutes' popular Safety Engineering textbook, this self-study course teaches you how to eliminate or reduce on-the-job hazards.

Through 26 easy-to-understand lessons and accompanying graphics, the course focuses on the most important safety topics facing today's employers, including Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, Fire Safety, Hazard Communication, Confined Space Entry, Lockout/Tagout, Personal Protective Equipment, Hot Work Procedures, and much more. Lesson exercises and review exams reinforce your learning and walk you through your most critical OSHA compliance requirements. Emphasis of the course is on accident prevention through cost-effective safety engineering and management practices. Included with the course are extensive sample safety inspection checklists, forms, permits, and dozens of other useful tables and charts.

Students who successfully complete the Master Exam at the conlusion of the course, earn continuing education credits and a Certificate of Achievement from RTI and ABS Consulting/Government Institutes.
